Get ready for another Cigar Safari with the Cigar Dojo crew in Nicaragua at the world-famous Drew Estate factory. This is a trip of a lifetime and a MUST-DO for any cigar fanatic. Spend a few days in the gorgeous country-side of Estelí, Nicaragua smoking amazing cigars, drinking amazing drinks, and eating fantastic food.
The trip is scheduled for February 22-25 and there are only 13 spots available for Dojo members to join. The cost for the Safari is $686.74 (plus a $35 travel agent fee). Attendees will also be responsible for their own airfare to Nicaragua (the Drew Estate travel agent handles all the details).
Other than the fee & airfare, everything else on the trip is covered: rooms, food, drinks, and cigars… yes, all the cigars you can smoke will be provided in this once-in-a-lifetime, 4 day, 3 night trip! So make sure to join Master Sensei and the Dojo crew as we head out on safari!
Cigar Safari Details
Take a once-in-a-lifetime trip to the La Gran Fabrica Drew Estate factory and begin exploring the eco-tourism of Nicaragua. Visit the Drew Estate Estelí-based factory, as well as Joya de Nicaragua’s Fábrica de Tabacos Joya de Nicaragua, S.A. factory (Nicaragua’s oldest factory), and blend your own cigars using some of the most sought-after tobaccos.
See the sights of Nicaragua! Bring home handmade souvenirs from a local Esteliano shop, including leather goods and pottery. Also, smoke all the cigars you want while you’re there!
Cigar Safari Itinerary
Day 1:
. Arrive at Managua Airport
. Grab lunch at a top-notch steakhouse
. Travel from Managua to Estelí, where the Drew Estate factory resides and where you will stay
. Have dinner at the Drew Estate factory, unpack
. Free time at night to hang out in our lounge, play poker, sip on scotch

. Visit a tobacco plantation
. Tour Joya de Nicaragua’s factory
. Have dinner at Drew Estate factory
Day 3:

. Tour Drew Estate’s pre-production facilities

. Blend your own cigars
. Tour Subculture Studios, Drew Estate’s art studio
. Have dinner at Drew Estate factory

. Head to Managua International Airport from Esteli
. Depart for the US

We are in the process of putting together a list of Dojo members who are willing and able to come on this trip. If you would like to go on the Cigar Safari with us, please fill out this . By submitting the form, you are not locked into the trip – the point of the form is for the Dojo staff to start putting the pieces together and determine who wants to go on the trip and meets all the prerequisite conditions.
All applications will be reviewed and further information will be emailed to those that have been selected for the trip. Spots are extremely limited, therefore, if you are selected, you will want to purchase your ticket ASAP so that you will be locked in.
