UPDATE: Another great contest has come and gone. Like all the other Cigar Dojo contests we recieved thousands of entries, some amazing and others not so amazing. But we appreciate all the entries and it was very difficult for us to pick the winners. Winning the grand prize this week was SmokinGun. The two runner-up winners were: Chris Flood and Flyguy. This week’s contest theme is: “I love the Dojo because”
Maybe it’s because we always get you to the right cigar shop (even when you’re out of town), maybe it’s our spot-on, witty reviews, maybe it’s our incredibly frequent giveaways, or maybe (probably) it’s the non-stop entertainment – let’s face it people, you love the Dojo! This week we’re feeling a little needy, so why not indulge us and tell us why you love that cigar-smoking sumo so much.
Some examples of a contest entry may be:
- Write a poem about why you love the Dojo
- Show us your Dojo memorabilia (cards, stickers, shirts, wallpapers, tattoos…)
- Post a picture of your romantic evening with Cigar Dojo
- A post of any shape or form that shows “why you love the Dojo”
Whatever you do, make it fun and original!

At Cigar Dojo, we are very thankful and appreciative of our members, and we want to pass on the appreciation in the form of free cigars! This week’s contest will run from Wednesday, August 6th at 6PM (MDT) and will end Friday, August 8th at 7PM (MDT). The winners will be announced on Friday night or Saturday morning on the Cigar Dojo app.

Our first place winner this week will receive a full box of Sindicato Hex cigars! That’s 21 beautiful, 5 1/4″ x 52 Figurado cigars for your enjoyment. These Nicaraguan beauties sport a dark and oily Ecuadorian Habano wrapper, along with Nicaraguan binder and fillers. Possibly the most exciting vitola in the lineup, these figurados look absolutely amazing, sporting a large pigtail cap and flawless construction. In our review of the Sindicato Hex, we found the cigar to be medium bodied, with flavors of chocolate, nut, leather, aged tobacco, and a touch of spice (think Liga Feral Pig in terms of profile). This is a cigar you could easily smoke any time of day (breakfast, lunch, and dinner), possibly multiple times a day!
