In June of 2017, Camacho Cigars, the world’s leading brand of bold cigars, and Cigar Dojo, the world’s first and largest social cigar app, partnered to introduce a unique project known as Imperial Stout Barrel-Aged. The cigars were sold through online retailer Smoke Inn Cigars in an extremely limited allotment of 400 bundles, with the full allocation selling out within a single weekend.

Now, Camacho and Cigar Dojo have announced that the final shipment of these unique cigars will soon be available for a second release. As with the initial sale, 400 bundles of 10 cigars will be offered in the same, 6” x 50 Toro size.

Cigar Dojo Imperial Stout Barrel-Aged by Camacho features a unique blend that is highlighted by Camacho’s signature, Original Corojo Honduran tobaccos that have undergone additional fermentation in oak barrels formerly containing Ten FIDY Imperial Stout by Colorado craft brewery Oskar Blues. These barrels began their aging duties in Kentucky, containing Kentucky Straight Bourbon from Heaven Hill Distilleries. When the bourbon was dumped, Ten FIDY Imperial Stout was aged in the same barrels for 8 to 12 months. Finally, these same four barrels were shipped to Honduras, where Camacho meticulously aged and rotated the tobaccos for a minimum of 6 months.

This is essentially the fan-favorite Triple Maduro cigar blend from Camacho, amplified by the unique properties derived from the aged oak barrels

Following the unique, barrel-fermentation process, Camacho paired the tobaccos with Brazilian Maduro and Dominican Maduro leaves in the filler, Original Corojo Maduro for the binder, and a San Andrés Maduro wrapper. This is essentially the fan-favorite Triple Maduro cigar blend from Camacho, amplified by the unique properties derived from the aged oak barrels (including nearly 17 years aging total between the former bourbon, beer, and tobacco).

For this, the second release of Cigar Dojo Imperial Stout Barrel-Aged by Camacho, the cigars are from the very same batch as the original shipment. Indeed, ISBA offers the very same size, blend, and batch seen on the first shipment. The only difference will be the additional 3 months the cigars were allowed to age (between the original release in June and the second release in late September).

For the second release of Imperial Stout Barrel-Aged, we’ve timed the shipment to fit snugly between Oskar Blues’ seasonal release of Ten FIDY in September, and the brewery’s doubly sought-after Barrel Aged Ten FIDY in early November. We were extremely happy with Camacho’s expertise in crafting this unique blend, but wanted more smokers to have the chance to enjoy the ‘full experience,’ as pairing ISBA with the very brew that gave it life takes this project to a whole new level!Eric Guttormson, owner of Cigar Dojo
