Cigar Dojo, the first and largest social cigar app, is proud to announce a new project in collaboration with Quesada Cigars. Introducing Dojo de Luxe by Quesada Cigars, an old school smoking experience for the modern era. Dojo de Luxe has been crafted at the famed Quesada Cigars factory in the Dominican Republic, blended by Master Blender Manuel (Manolo) Quesada in an effort to capture the essence of traditional, balanced, and ultimately refined smoking experiences of Cuba in its heyday.
Marking the sixth official cigar in Cigar Dojo’s collection of limited edition collaborations, Dojo de Luxe was concocted to set itself apart from the multitude of full-bodied maduro blends introduced up to this point—offering some of the most luxurious selections of tobaccos for a Dojo blend to date.
“After creating several special releases that feature maduro tobacco (such as the Undercrown DOGMA), we were eager to explore something different, something classic and Cubanesque. We knew that Quesada Cigars would be the perfect company to create exactly what we were looking for. The blend, the vitola, everything about the Dojo de Luxe pays homage to an era gone by,” commented Eric Guttormson, owner of Cigar Dojo.
Dojo de Luxe is based on the critically acclaimed Quesada 40th Corona Clasica cigar, which was crafted by Manolo and released as a limited edition alteration from Quesada’s 40th Anniversary line, introduced in 2014.
Terence Reilly, brand runner at Quesada, commented, “The Quesada Dojo de Luxe uses the same components as the Quesada 40th Corona Clasica, a blend crafted by my uncle Manuel Quesada to satisfy his own personal tastes. It’s a cigar that brings intense flavors to the palate yet remains smooth and balanced enough to be enjoyed as the first cigar of the day. Truly a superb smoke.”
To fully showcase the nostalgic feel of this classic blend, the cigars have been rolled in an intricate, 5¾” x 52 perfecto vitola. New packaging has been created for collectability, with ten-count, slide-lid boxes displaying “Cigar Dojo” and “Dojo de Luxe”, as well as custom-designed sub-bands to further differentiate the limited edition cigars. A limited number of five-hundred boxes have been produced for this special release.
Dojo de Luxe will make its first appearance on February 17th, where Terence Reilly will host the pre-event dinner for The Great Smoke 2017 event in Boynton Beach, Florida. The cigars will then officially debut on March 3, 2017—sold exclusively through Smoke Inn’s online and brick and mortar retail locations.
