The Cigar Dojo has had a fantastic first year (well not a whole year yet but who’s counting?). The Dojo opened in late February 2012 and has experienced major growth in just one year! The Dojo started as a site that featured quick, easy to read cigar reviews and from there we added reviews of cigar bars, smoke shops and other cigar related reviews, not to mention our fun and unique featured articles.
Just last month the Dojo released it’s social cigar app which allows smokers from all over the world to let each other know what they are smoking and what they are doing. The cigar app has been a huge success with hundreds of active users and vibrant conversation. In celebration of the cigar app the Dojo recently started it’s Great Cigar giveaway which gives users a chances to win great cigars and cigar related prizes from industry giants such as: Erik Espinosa, Smoke Inn, Arturo Fuente, My Father, Stogies World Class Cigars, AJ Fernandez, Eddie Ortega, and Drew Estate.
Each and every quarter of the Dojo’s first year online our website traffic has doubled from the quarter before and there is no sign of slowing down. With this type of early success it seems the future is bright for the Dojo. Yet the pace has been furious and therefore the Dojo members have decided to take a yearly trip to Vegas to relax but also to plan for upcoming events and additions to the website and cigar app. We would like to personally thank all the folks who have registered on our website and in our cigar app because it’s you members that make our growing cigar community such an awesome place to be a part of.
Updates from Vegas.
When we arrived in Vegas one of the first things we did was headed over to the Rhumbar and enjoyed a delicious mojito and a cigar. I chose the Espinosa Habano. The Espinosa has quickly become one of my favorite cigars. It’s creamy with delicious and somewhat complex spice that blasts you with tons of flavor but just medium strength which is perfect for getting the evening rolling.
