On a recent trip to Houston to visit my brother in Katy Texas we took the short drive east to visit one of the best cigar shops in Houston: Stogies World Class Cigars. Stogies is a small cigar shop on the west side of Houston.
The walk-in humidor at Stogies has one main room and two smaller rooms off to the left side. While the humidor wasn’t especially large at Stogies it was packed full with a marvelous selection of cigars. The prices of the selection were also very reasonable and the condition of the cigars was nearly perfect.

The best part about our visit to Stogies World Class Cigars was the shop owner Jorge.
Jorge was friendly and very helpful. Often times cigar shop owners hesitate to tell you their opinion of cigars because they don’t want to deter a possible sale, but Jorge was filled with opinions which helped us to pick some interesting and different cigars to purchase.

Stogies does have a small seating area just outside the humidor so that you can smoke but we decided to sit outside on the Palm Restaurant which is right next to the cigar shop. The atmosphere was perfect, the cigars were delicious, the beer (from the Palm) was cold, and we had a wonderful time.
Stogies does have a website but it’s mainly informational therefore if you want to buy some cigars from Jorge you are going to have to pay him a visit the next time you are in the Houston area or give him a call at 713-783-5100, you will be glad you did.
Jorge’s shop also features on-site laser engraving! They can engrave just about any item you purchase or bring in, and they can do it while you wait in our state-of-the-art cigar lounge. They can engrave any surface from glass to wood to lighters and even engrave an image or phrase onto a cigar itself! In fact Jorge supplied one of the most unique prizes in our Great Cigar Giveaway the CigarDojo custom 100 count huidor. The desktop humidor Jorge created for us was simply gorgeous and it was very difficult to give it away as I would have much preferred to keep it. Thanks Jorge!!
